Cinco de Mayo is around the corner, which means we need to talk Food Plans and Game Plans because at 4Q Method, we don’t believe you need to miss out on an event because of your wellness or weight loss goals -- you simply need to be prepared. 

So while Cinco de Mayo is an occasion filled with lots of alcohol and indulgent food, your 4Q Food Plan and Game Plan will set you up for success whether you are hosting a party, attending as a guest, or going out to celebrate.

Jicama Wraps

Jicama wraps are a crunchy and satisfying carb-free alternative to a traditional tortilla that can be found in the fridge section of Trader Joes.

These tortillas are made from simple, wholesome ingredients. We also love that the smaller size helps with portion control!

Ingredients to buy:

  • Chicken, beef, fish, shellfish, and/or tempeh — for taco fillings

  • Crudité — great for dipping into guac when you’ve had your bean chip fill!

  • Cabbage — for your taco slaw!

  • Red onion — to add to slaw and/or to pickle on its own

  • Romaine lettuce — for lettuce tacos

  • Salsa — unless you’re making your own (see 4Q Mango Salsa below)

  • Avocado and/or guacamole — for dipping or topping your taco

  • Mango — for the salsa and popsicles

  • Tomatoes

  • Jalapeños

  • Limes

  • Tequila or Mezcal

  • Sea salt

  • Chili powder

  • Watermelon

  • Greek yogurt

  • Kombucha

  • Cilantro — unless, of course, you hate it!
